Description
Grevenmacher is the largest of the Luxembourg Moselle wine towns and the seat of the national cooperative cellars, whose tanks and tasting rooms sit directly beside the river locks. A tropical butterfly garden on the edge of town keeps hundreds of free-flying species and is one of the country's most visited family attractions. Above the roofs the Kulturhuef museum preserves working printing and playing-card presses. Vineyard footpaths climb straight out of the streets to the Kelsbaach valley and the ridge, and the town is a stop for the passenger boats working the valley.
