This page explains which data is stored locally in the browser, what processing takes place for analytics purposes, and how consent can be managed.

Strictly necessary cookies and local storage

For the app's basic functions, certain settings and user data are stored exclusively in the browser's local storage so that they are retained across later visits. This data is not transmitted to any server. This storage is strictly necessary for the functionality the user has expressly requested. Consent is therefore not required under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (the German implementation of the ePrivacy Directive). In addition, a strictly necessary cookie named NEXT_LOCALE is set, which stores only the selected language. It contains no identifier for recognizing individual persons and is not used to analyze usage behavior.

Analytics (optional)

Matomo is used as a self-hosted analytics tool to analyze and understand how the application is used. Matomo runs on our own infrastructure. The analytics data collected in this way is not transmitted to Matomo or any other external provider. The IP address is anonymized by being truncated before storage. A complete IP address is not stored. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Where consent has been given, Matomo sets the cookies _pk_id, which recognizes returning visits and is stored for 13 months, and _pk_ses, which records the current session and is stored for 30 minutes. Without consent, or after it has been withdrawn, these cookies are not set. This category is off by default.

No advertising or third-party tracking

No advertising cookies are used. Regardless of the analytics preference chosen, no data is transmitted to third parties for cross-site tracking.

Manage preference

The analytics preference can be changed or withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. The cookie notice can also be shown again.
