Description
Sveti Stefan is a fortified fishing village on an islet joined to the shore by a narrow sand causeway, and it is the single most photographed view in Montenegro. Founded in the fifteenth century with money from a raid on Turkish ships, it was emptied of residents in the fifties and turned into a hotel that took film stars through the sixties. The islet itself is not generally open to the public. The beaches either side of the causeway and the road above are where the view is had.
