Sanyang

Sanyang has the best stretch of sand in the country, a long pale beach backed by palms with a scatter of low beach bars that cook whatever came in that morning. It is quieter than the resort strip and a good deal cheaper, which has made it the place people go when they want a beach without the hotels behind it. Fishing boats work off the rocky point at the southern end of the bay. A fishmeal factory nearby has caused real anger and real pollution in the village. Most of those bars shut completely through the deep rains.
