Description
Kravice (Vodopad Kravica) is a wide curtain of tufa waterfalls on the Trebižat, a horseshoe about a hundred and twenty metres across where the river drops twenty five metres into a pool deep and calm enough to swim in. The rock is living travertine, still growing where the water runs over moss. Willows and poplars ring the basin and the whole thing sits in a bowl reached by a steep path or a small tourist train. In high summer it is the closest thing Herzegovina has to a beach and fills accordingly.
