Short description of Kharkiv
Kharkiv is the second city of Ukraine, a university and engineering town that was the Soviet capital of the republic in the nineteen twenties and built accordingly. Freedom Square is one of the largest city squares in Europe and the constructivist Derzhprom building on its west side is the landmark of that decade anywhere in the former Soviet Union.
