Description
Bukovel (Bukowel) is the largest ski resort in Ukraine and in eastern Europe outside the Alps and the Tatras, built from nothing after 2000 on the slopes of Dovha mountain with sixteen lifts and around sixty kilometres of piste. It runs from December to March on a mix of natural and made snow, and in summer it turns into a bike park with a lake, a rope park and lift-served walking. It is the busiest single leisure destination in the country by visitor nights and takes a young Kyiv and Lviv crowd who come for the après as much as the runs.
