Short description of Cabo Ledo
Cabo Ledo is a wide bay lying under red cliffs a couple of hours south of the capital, and the long left hand point break at the end of it is the best known wave in the whole country. A handful of camps and lodges sit behind the sand and fill up with surfers through the middle of the year when the southern swell arrives. Humpback whales pass close offshore in those same months on their long way north. Out of season the bay empties out again and becomes a quiet weekend beach for local families.
