Wadi Shab
Oman · South Sharqiyah · 20 m
Description
Wadi Shab (وادي شاب) is one of Oman’s most spectacular natural landscapes, combining rugged cliffs with turquoise pools, palms and hidden caves. The dramatic gorge can be explored along a varied trail that begins with a short boat crossing before continuing on foot over rocky terrain beside the water. One of its highlights is a partially flooded cave with a concealed waterfall, reached by swimming through a narrow passage in the rock. Wadi Shab offers a memorable combination of hiking, swimming and dramatic scenery and is one of Oman’s best-known outdoor destinations. Good footwear, sure footing and basic swimming ability are important for exploring the gorge safely.
