Malbun
Liechtenstein · Oberland · 1600 m
Description
Malbun is the only ski resort in Liechtenstein and the country's mountain village, a bowl of chalets at sixteen hundred metres reached by the mountain road up from Triesenberg through a tunnel and past Steg. Its handful of lifts and a couple of dozen kilometres of piste make it small by alpine standards, which is exactly why it works as a family and beginner area, and the princely family has always skied here. In summer the chairlift to Sareis opens the ridge walk to Augstenberg and the Pfälzerhütte. Ibex and chamois graze the slopes above the treeline. The whole resort is walkable end to end in a quarter of an hour.
