Description
Vlora (Vlorë) is one of Albania's most important coastal cities and is widely regarded as the gateway to the Albanian Riviera. Situated where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea, the port city combines history, nature, and seaside leisure in a unique setting. Vlora is best known as the place where Albania declared its independence in 1912, as well as for its scenic waterfront promenade, Kanina Castle, and the Byzantine Monastery of Zvërnec.
