Description

Saranda (Sarandë) is the largest city on the Albanian Riviera and the main tourist hub of southern Albania. Situated on a sweeping bay along the Ionian Sea directly opposite the Greek island of Corfu, the coastal city is known for its crystal-clear waters, lively waterfront promenade, and Mediterranean atmosphere. Thanks to its regular ferry connection to Corfu, Saranda serves as an important gateway between Albania and Greece. The city is also the ideal base for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint, the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) spring, and the turquoise beaches of Ksamil. Combining seaside relaxation, history, nature, and vibrant nightlife, Saranda ranks among Albania's most popular travel destinations.
