Villa Beach, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Villa Beach

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines · Saint Vincent · 5 m

Description

Villa Beach is the strip immediately southeast of Kingstown and holds most of what tourism St. Vincent itself receives, a run of small hotels and restaurants along a narrow channel with Young Island sitting a couple of hundred metres offshore. Young Island is a private resort and Fort Duvernette behind it is a gun battery cut into a volcanic plug, reached by two hundred and fifty five steps from the water. Indian Bay is the swimming beach, the dive boats leave from here for the reefs down the leeward coast, and the ferry to Bequia is ten minutes away.
