Description
Bequia is the largest of the Grenadines and the one most visitors to the chain actually stop on, an hour by ferry from Kingstown into Admiralty Bay, which is one of the great anchorages of the eastern Caribbean and full of masts all winter. The island built and sailed boats for two centuries and still holds an International Whaling Commission licence for four humpbacks a year taken from open sailing boats with a hand harpoon, a thing worth knowing about before it comes up. The Princess Margaret walk along the shore links the beaches and takes twenty minutes.
