Short description of Ts'ehlanyane National Park
Ts'ehlanyane protects a rare stand of high altitude indigenous woodland in a river valley under the Maloti, a kind of forest that has almost entirely gone from these mountains. Walking trails follow the water up through the trees and out onto the open slopes that run to over three thousand metres. Maliba, the only lodge in the country at this standard, sits inside the park and is a reason people come in its own right. The road in is tarred the whole way from Hlotse, which is distinctly unusual for a national park in Lesotho.
