Paradise Island, Bahamas

Paradise Island

Bahamas · New Providence · 5 m

Description

Paradise Island lies across two bridges from Nassau and is given over almost entirely to one resort. Atlantis covers a large part of the island with pink towers, a marine habitat holding tens of thousands of fish in the ruins of a fictional lost city, and a water park whose signature slide drops through a clear tube laid across a shark lagoon. The island was called Hog Island until a developer renamed it in the fifties. Cabbage Beach on the north shore runs for more than three kilometres and is open to everyone.
