Description
Dhiffushi (ދިއްފުށި) is a small local island on the eastern edge of Kaafu Atoll and is considered the easternmost inhabited island of the Maldives. The island is known for its white sandy beaches, shallow shores and easily accessible house reef, making it particularly appealing for snorkeling. Guesthouses, small shops, narrow streets and a football pitch shape daily life and offer an authentic glimpse into the Maldivian way of life. Fishing and tourism are among the island’s main sources of income. Dhiffushi combines relaxed beach days and water activities with local island life and can be reached from Malé by speedboat in around 45 minutes.
