Busua, Ghana

Busua

Ghana · Western Region · 5 m

Description

Busua is the surf village of Ghana, a single sandy bay on the western coast with a gentle beach break that has made it the place people come to learn rather than to find size. The one road behind the beach carries guesthouses, a surf school run by local instructors and enough bars to fill an evening, and it is small enough that everyone ends up in the same three places. Dixcove and its seventeenth century Fort Metal Cross are a twenty minute walk over the headland.
