Travel to the Pitcairn Islands
The Pitcairn Islands are a British territory in the remote South Pacific and one of the least populated places on earth, with fewer than fifty residents on Pitcairn Island. They descend from the Bounty mutineers and the Tahitians who settled here in 1790, and the anchor of the Bounty is displayed in the small village of Adamstown.
There is no airport, so visitors arrive on a supply ship from Mangareva in French Polynesia or on an occasional cruise ship. Uninhabited Henderson Island, a raised coral atoll, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
