Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a pristine mountain rainforest wilderness in southern Tanzania's Eastern Arc Mountains and ranks among Africa's most biologically diverse protected areas. The park is renowned for its exceptional concentration of endemic plants and animals, lush montane forests, scenic hiking trails, and the spectacular multi-tiered Sanje Waterfalls. Unlike most of Tanzania's national parks, Udzungwa is explored exclusively on foot, with no roads or traditional game drives.
