Saadani National Park
Tanzania · Pwani · 10 m
Description
Saadani National Park is Tanzania’s only national park where the savannah meets the shores of the Indian Ocean. This unique coastal wilderness combines classic safari landscapes with tropical beach scenery and provides a habitat for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and a wide variety of other wildlife. Along the coastline, green turtles come ashore seasonally to lay their eggs, while boat safaris on the Wami River offer encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Saadani combines wildlife experiences, river adventures, and relaxing beach moments in a rare natural setting. The park is considered one of Tanzania’s most distinctive destinations, where African wilderness and tropical coastal landscapes come together.
