Description
Tarangire National Park is one of the most spectacular protected areas in northern Tanzania, renowned for its large elephant herds and the majestic baobab trees that define its landscape. Along the perennial Tarangire River, large concentrations of wildlife gather, especially during the dry season, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, and predators such as lions and leopards. The park combines vast savannahs, open woodlands, wetlands, and an exceptional diversity of wildlife, making it one of Tanzania's premier safari destinations. Away from the larger crowds of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, Tarangire National Park offers a peaceful atmosphere, authentic safari experiences, and some of East Africa's oldest baobab trees.
