St. Lawrence Gap
Barbados · Christ Church · 5 m
Description
St. Lawrence Gap is the strip where most of the south coast stays, a curving lane between the main road and the sea lined with hotels, beach bars and restaurants for about a kilometre. The beaches on either side, Dover and Worthing, sit inside a reef so the water is calm and shallow. Hawksbill and green turtles feed on the sea grass close to shore and boats run snorkelling trips out to them all year. A paved boardwalk runs east along the coast to Rockley. The Gap is the loudest part of the island after dark.
