Description

Oistins is a working fishing town on the south coast and the site of the one event almost every visitor to Barbados ends up at. Every Friday night the fish market at Oistins Bay Gardens turns into an open air fry, with two dozen stalls grilling marlin, mahi mahi and flying fish over charcoal, sound systems on the tarmac and domino tables going until late. It runs for locals as much as tourists. The rest of the week the market sells the morning catch and the town is quiet. Miami Beach at Enterprise lies just east.
