Short description of Rubane
Rubane lies a few minutes by boat from the ferry island and holds the most comfortable lodge in the archipelago, a set of bungalows under palms along a beach of pale sand. Almost everyone here has come to fish, because the water between these islands holds tarpon, barracuda and jack in numbers that draw anglers from Europe. Those who have not fish instead take boats out through the mangrove channels or across to the sandbanks that appear at low water. The lodge closes entirely for the heart of the rains. Access is by boat only.
