Mount Olympus (Όλυμπος) is the highest mountain range in Greece and one of the country’s most significant natural and cultural landscapes. Since antiquity, Olympus has been regarded in Greek mythology as the home of the twelve Olympian gods. Rising to 2,918 m at Mytikas, the mountain features rugged peaks, deep gorges, extensive forests, and remarkable biodiversity. As Greece’s first national park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Olympus holds exceptional ecological importance.
