Description
Lefkada (Λευκάδα) is a diverse island in the Ionian Sea, known for its spectacular beaches, lush landscapes and crystal clear turquoise waters. The island is famed for the dramatic white cliffs along its western coast, as well as renowned beaches such as Porto Katsiki and Egremni, picturesque bays and traditional villages. Lefkada combines Venetian influenced architecture in its capital with lively coastal towns such as Nidri and Vasiliki. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing and boat trips are as much a part of the island experience as relaxing in traditional tavernas. A floating bridge connects Lefkada directly to mainland Greece, making the island particularly easy to reach by car.
