Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most scenic and ecologically diverse national parks, situated at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. It is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, its shallow alkaline lake that seasonally attracts thousands of flamingos, and its lush groundwater forests fed by natural springs. The park’s varied habitats provide a haven for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, blue monkeys, and an exceptional diversity of birdlife. With its spectacular landscapes and abundant wildlife, Lake Manyara National Park is widely regarded as one of the finest introductions to a northern Tanzania safari.
