Hatta
United Arab Emirates · Dubai · 340 m
Description
Hatta (حتا) is a mountain exclave of Dubai in the Hajar Mountains near the border with Oman, offering a striking contrast to the modern metropolis. The region is known for its rugged peaks, dramatic wadis and the turquoise waters of Hatta Reservoir, one of the emirate’s most distinctive natural attractions. Traditional buildings, watchtowers and Hatta Heritage Village reflect the area’s long history of settlement, while hiking trails, mountain biking and water sports provide numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. With its slightly cooler mountain climate and rugged scenery, Hatta reveals a surprisingly different side of Dubai, far removed from skyscrapers, shopping malls and big-city life.
