Etosha National Park

Namibia · Oshikoto · 1100 m

Description

Etosha National Park in northern Namibia is one of Africa’s most important wildlife reserves and one of Southern Africa’s most impressive safari destinations. Covering around 23,000 km², the park is renowned for the vast Etosha Pan, sweeping savanna landscapes, and exceptional wildlife, including elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. Natural and artificial waterholes provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, while several rest camps feature floodlit waterholes that allow visitors to observe animals after dark. The shimmering salt pan, open landscapes, abundant wildlife, and excellent infrastructure for self-drive safaris make Etosha National Park one of Namibia’s premier nature and safari destinations.
