West Bay

Description

West Bay occupies the north-western tip of Grand Cayman and holds the two attractions every cruise excursion visits. The Cayman Turtle Centre keeps green turtles in tanks and a saltwater lagoon over twenty-three acres and draws more than half a million people a year, releasing yearlings to the sea. Hell is a field of black ironshore limestone spikes with a post office beside it that franks mail from Hell. The Cayman Islands Brewery and a rum cake bakery sit nearby, and Barkers National Park is empty coast. The drive from George Town takes twenty minutes along Seven Mile Beach.
