Description
Virgin Gorda holds the single most visited sight in the British Virgin Islands. The Baths are a jumble of granite boulders the size of houses piled along the southern shore, and squeezing between them through half-flooded chambers and out onto small pockets of sand is the reason every charter yacht stops here. The granite is unusual in the Caribbean and gives the island a shape Columbus thought looked like a reclining woman. Spanish Town has the ferry dock and a marina, and Gorda Peak rises to 414 metres behind. Ferries reach Spanish Town from Road Town in half an hour.
