Sunny Beach
Bulgaria · Southern Black Sea · 5 m
Description
Sunny Beach (Слънчев бряг) is the largest holiday resort in Bulgaria and takes more visitors than any other place in the country, built as a continuous strip of hotels along eight kilometres of wide sand. The water shelves slowly and stays warm, which has made it a family destination as much as a party one. The main strip behind the beach runs on cheap drinks, clubs and neon until morning through the summer. Nothing here is old, the resort was laid out from scratch in the nineteen fifties, and everything historic lies in Nessebar next door. Prices stay among the lowest on any European coast.
