Description
Sainte-Luce is a fishing village turned holiday town on the calm south coast, with a row of small sandy coves reached from the road and a seafront of creole houses in painted wood. Trois-Rivières distillery sits in cane fields above the town and still ages its rum in the old chai. The Forêt de Montravail behind holds a set of Arawak rock carvings cut into boulders under the trees. Boats leave the beach for the coral shallows offshore, and the town's restaurants grill the morning catch on the sand. The coast road east continues to Le Marin.
