Nong Khiaw (ຫນອງຂຽວ) is a picturesque village on the banks of the Nam Ou River in northern Laos. Surrounded by towering limestone karst mountains and lush vegetation, it is considered one of the country's most scenic destinations. Nong Khiaw is known for its spectacular viewpoints, especially the Pha Daeng Viewpoint, scenic boat trips along the Nam Ou, and excellent hiking and trekking opportunities to caves, waterfalls, and ethnic minority villages. Small guesthouses, cozy cafés, and riverside restaurants create a relaxed atmosphere, while the combination of breathtaking landscapes, traditional village life, and outdoor activities makes Nong Khiaw one of the highlights of northern Laos.
