Møns Klint, Denmark

Møns Klint

Denmark · Zealand · 40 m

Description

Møns Klint is a spectacular stretch of brilliant white chalk cliffs on the eastern coast of the Danish island of Møn and ranks among Scandinavia's most impressive natural landscapes. Rising up to 128 metres above the Baltic Sea, the cliffs are renowned for their striking geology, fossil discoveries, and breathtaking coastal views. Perched on the cliff edge, GeoCenter Møns Klint brings the area's Ice Age origins to life, while the beech forest above is considered one of Denmark's most beautiful woodlands. Thanks to exceptionally low light pollution, Møn is also designated as a Dark Sky Park, making it one of the country's best places to observe the Milky Way. The combination of dramatic scenery, geological heritage, and unspoiled coastline makes Møns Klint one of Denmark's most iconic natural attractions.
