Description
Dragør is a historic harbour town on the island of Amager, just a few kilometres south of central Copenhagen. It is one of Denmark's best-preserved historic settlements, renowned for its cobbled streets, yellowwashed houses, and picturesque harbour that still reflects its long maritime tradition as a fishing, seafaring, and pilot town. Its maritime heritage, small museums, cafés, and relaxed atmosphere make Dragør a popular day-trip destination from the Danish capital. Thanks to its location on the Øresund Strait and directly beneath the approach path to Copenhagen Airport, the waterfront also offers an unusual vantage point for plane spotting, with views across the water towards the Øresund Bridge and the Swedish coast.
