Short description of Lusail
Lusail is the city Qatar built from nothing on the coast north of the capital, laid out on a grid of marinas and boulevards and finished in a hurry for the World Cup. The stadium that held the final stands at the inland end of it, still at its full size despite the promise to cut it down afterwards. Place Vendome is the largest of the malls and Katara Towers rise over the marina as two crossed scimitars. Much of it is quiet by day and fills in the evening, and parts are still building sites.
