Short description of Khor Al Adaid
Khor Al Adaid is the inland sea in the far south, a tidal arm of the Gulf that reaches back into the dunes and is almost cut off from the water it came from. Dunes stand straight out of it on the far side and the Saudi border runs along the back. There is no paved road to it and no settlement, so everything arrives across soft sand and most of it arrives on a tour. Camps go up along the shore through the winter. Flamingos work the shallows through the winter. The quiet at night is the point, and the dunes on the far bank are the picture everyone brings back.
