Juan Dolio
Dominican Republic · San Pedro de Macorís · 5 m
Description
Juan Dolio is a relaxed beach resort on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, around 45 kilometers east of Santo Domingo. The coastal town is known for its long sandy beaches, calm Caribbean waters partly protected by offshore reefs, and well-developed tourist infrastructure with hotels, apartment complexes, restaurants, and golf courses. Juan Dolio combines relaxing beach days with water sports, golf, and excursions to the nearby Cueva de las Maravillas, famous for its impressive Taíno rock art. Quieter and more spacious than neighboring Boca Chica, the resort is particularly well suited for a relaxing beach vacation and as a base for exploring Santo Domingo and the southeast of the country.
