Inari (Enare in Swedish, Anár in Inari Sámi, Aanaar in Northern Sámi) is the cultural center of the Sámi people in Finland, situated on the shores of Lake Inari, the country's third-largest lake. The village is home to the Sámi Parliament of Finland and the Siida Sámi Museum, which showcases Sámi history, culture, traditional ways of life, and the natural environment of the Arctic North. Lake Inari, with its approximately 3,300 islands, including the sacred island of Ukonsaari, defines the surrounding landscape and offers scenic boat excursions in summer as well as a variety of activities on its frozen surface during winter. Inari combines living Sámi traditions, pristine wilderness, and Arctic nature with a peaceful atmosphere far from Finland's major tourist resorts. It is widely regarded as one of the country's best destinations for experiencing authentic Sámi culture and the unique landscapes of Finnish Lapland.
