Description
Tampere is Finland's third-largest city and one of the country's leading cultural and industrial centres. Beautifully situated between Lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi, the city owes its rise to the Tammerkoski rapids, whose hydropower fuelled industrialisation in the 19th century and earned Tampere the nickname “the Manchester of Finland”.
