Description

Contadora (Isla Contadora) is one of the best-known islands in Panama’s Pearl Islands archipelago and a tropical retreat off the country’s Pacific coast. The compact island is known for its white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, and relaxed atmosphere. Once a favored getaway for wealthy Panamanians and later a setting for international Survivor productions, Contadora combines laid-back island life with snorkeling, boat trips, and excursions through the surrounding archipelago. From July to October, humpback whales migrate through the Gulf of Panama, making the Pearl Islands one of the country’s most rewarding destinations for marine wildlife.
