Constanza is a high-altitude mountain town in the heart of the Dominican Republic and a peaceful green retreat in the Cordillera Central. The town is known for its pleasantly cool climate, crisp mountain air, extensive pine forests, and fertile agricultural landscapes dotted with vegetable and strawberry fields as well as colorful flower farms. Constanza combines rural charm with spectacular highland scenery and serves as an ideal base for hiking and exploring the surrounding mountains. Highlights of the region include the high-altitude Valle Nuevo National Park with its sweeping mountain landscapes and the impressive Aguas Blancas waterfall, which plunges some 83 meters amid lush vegetation.
