Short description of Bosaso
Bosaso is the commercial port of Puntland, a hot and fast growing town on the Gulf of Aden coast, the place where livestock leaves for Arabia and where almost everything else in the region arrives. The beach is broad and the fish market is worth an early morning, and the Cal Madow foothills behind the town hold hot springs and fishing hamlets along the coast. Puntland runs its own immigration and refuses the federal visa, so getting here is its own exercise. A couple of specialist operators include it in their programmes and departures are rare.
