Description

Boca Chica is a quiet fishing village on Panama’s Pacific coast and the main gateway to the island world of the Gulf of Chiriquí. The small coastal community is known as a starting point for boat trips to tropical islands, secluded sandy beaches, and rich marine habitats around Isla Gámez, the Islas Secas, and the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park. The surrounding waters offer excellent opportunities for sport fishing, snorkeling, and diving and are home to dolphins, sea turtles, and seasonally migrating humpback whales. Away from Panama’s major tourist centers, Boca Chica combines traditional village life with some of the most beautiful island and marine landscapes in western Panama.
