Short description of Badou
Badou sits much deeper into the cocoa hills than Kpalimé and sees far fewer visitors, which rather suits the one waterfall it is known for, a broad curtain of water that runs strongest just after the rains, rather than in the driest months that everyone usually assumes is best. The town itself is a modest market centre surrounded by plantations that still supply a good share of the country's cocoa and coffee. Getting to the falls means a good walk through the same plantations, past workers who barely look up from their rows. There is very little else built specifically for visitors here.
