Short description of Mount Agou
Mount Agou is the highest point the country has, a rounded summit above Kpalimé reached on a half day walk through coffee terraces that thin out into cooler forest near the top. Telecom masts crowd the actual peak, which takes some of the romance out of arriving, but the view still reaches into Ghana on a clear morning. Most people climb it as an add on to a Kpalimé stay rather than a destination on its own. Cloud sits on the summit through much of the rainy season and hides the view for days at a time.
