Yasawa Islands
Fiji · 5 m
Description
The Yasawa Islands are a volcanic chain northwest of Viti Levu and a captivating destination known for white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and dramatic landscapes. The islands are famous for the Blue Lagoon, which gained international recognition through the film “The Blue Lagoon”, as well as the impressive limestone caves of Sawa-i-Lau. Manta rays can be spotted between Drawaqa and Naviti during the cooler months, while vibrant coral reefs offer excellent snorkeling and diving. Traditional villages and kava ceremonies provide insights into Fijian culture. The Yasawas combine nature, island adventure, and relaxation, while many parts remain quieter and less developed than the nearby Mamanucas.
