Westpunt
Curacao · Bandabou · 20 m
Description
Westpunt is the far end of Curaçao, an hour from Willemstad, and it holds the beaches that appear on the postcards. Grote Knip is a wide half-moon of white sand under limestone cliffs with water in a blue that photographs look faked, and Kleine Knip next door is the smaller version. Playa Piskadó is where the fishermen clean their catch and green turtles come in to the shallows for the scraps, which makes it the reliable place to swim with them. The diving off this coast is the best on the island.
